- Figure out a way to make your debt payments. If this is a possibility, you should. However, for most small businesses in your position, this is simply not possible.
- Convince your creditors to restructure your debt. Realistically, if your creditors were comfortable with a longer repayment term, they would made that offer when you borrowed the money.
- Find an investor who can restructure your debt.
- File bankruptcy. This is an extreme option; small business bankruptcy almost always leads to a liquidation. You will eliminate your debt, but you'll lose your business.

Carefully study each of your four options.
- Analyze your business, identify any expenses you can cut, any assets you can sell that could allow your to make your payments.
- Talk to your creditors and find out what options they can offer.
- Contact debt professionals, and get proposals - in writing.
- Schedule a consultation with a bankruptcy attorney so you fully know the pros and cons of bankruptcy if you are forced to file.
